About Me:

Dr. Behzad (Seid) Sadat is a research engineer at the STEEL Lab in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. He is an experimental thermal scientist with research interests spanning novel renewable energy technologies, ultra-high precision heat flow calorimetry and heat/charge transport phenomena at fundamental scales.

With an entrepreneurial mindset and experience in launching two companies, he aspires to develop the next generation of scalable and renewable energy solutions out of the research lab.

He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan in 2014 in Nanoscale Transport Lab. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Behzad worked as a postdoc at Stanford University at Magic Lab.  He also holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree from Tokyo Inst. of Technology, Sharif university of technology and Tabriz university.
